She's cool and all, but it doesn't change my thoughts about the ticket. McCain has made it clear that she's a hood ornament and we will be going back to the traditional useless VP. If he dies (and he just might), I'm not sure I want her as my President.
But then you have to ask yourself (cause no independent ticket is going to win and writing someone else in is only going to be a futile effort, an impotent rage against the machine) do you really want Obama or Biden taking the Presidency? I'd rather have a new guy (girl) with a good track record, even if it's short than someone with a track record that may be long but rather sketchy. Besides, at least for me, Obama has nothing on Palin when it comes to experience. He's just as new as she is.
I've been a McCain supporter since his first run in 2000. What I don't get is all the bandwagoning this week-people coming on board just because of Palin. This makes no sense to me. McCain intends for her to be a Dan Quayle- so it won't matter what type of experience she has or whether she's pro-life or whatever. I'm always skeptical of hype. Especially Cindy McCain today claiming Palin has foreign policy experience because Alaska is close to Russia. That's a little much for me.
ooooh, hadn't heard that one. About the Russia foreign experience thing. That is a little far-fetched.
